She surprised Jack by going with me to pick him up from school Thursday afternoon. Then, since the weather was so nice, we all spent as much time together outside as we could (look closely and Landon's playing in the grass and Mom and Leslie are sitting near the garage). She brought 3-D sidewalk chalk for Jack — and it actually worked! But I guess our driveway isn't big enough to contain his artistic expression, so he continued out into the street.
After dinner, he asked for a blank sheet of white paper and quietly went upstairs. When he came down, he surprised her with an envelope ... containing this picture he had just drawn.
