At-home photo shoot

Landon's at the stage where he likes putting his toes in his mouth (it's so cute) — the ultimate baby pose.

So naturally I had to take some pictures.

He was doing so well with those, that I took some more.

Then I took off his diaper.

But didn't want to push my luck too long.
Some more of the aerial view.

He's the perfect, quintessential, all-American baby ... with curly hair that sticks up.

Home sweet home

If you need new furniture, have we got the person for you! Kirsten Tretbar at Nebraska Furniture Mart (in Kansas City) — at kirsten.tretbar@nfm.com and (913) 288-6383 ext. 42574 — is the best they have. She's a nontraditional salesperson and is amazing to work with ... and a lot of fun! She helped us with our family room and dining room furniture earlier this winter and asked to see pictures. Here you go, Kirsten.

Cousins

We had some pictures taken of the kids when we were all together in Nebraska last weekend.

Nathan and Dominic.

Danielle (Dani), Schuyler (Skye) and Alexis (Lexi).

All the cousins.

With Grandma.

The boys.

I don't even remember what happened here, Landon must have burped or something, but — obviously — Jack didn't like it!

Papa Dana

...came to stay with us last night! We had dinner, played "Sorry" together and then watched "24."

"Under the Stars"

Friday evening was the mother/son dance at Jackson's school. I had ordered a corsage for him to give to Leslie and, when he did, he dropped to one knee and said, "Mommy, will you be my wife?" Then leaped into her arms.

This reminds me of pinning the corsage on my mom at our wedding. Maybe someday Jack will do the same.

In order for Jack to take a good, smiling picture ...

... Leslie agreed to do a funny-face picture.

By this time he was kinda getting into it and said, "C'mon man, we're superstar rock stars!"

Leslie said that a couple other moms at the event had corsages, too — but that she was the only one proposed to!

This last picture's just for fun. It's Jack coloring upstairs in the loft on Sunday afternoon.

The good life (Sunday)

The last full day of our trip to Nebraska.

Our niece Lexi had a basketball game that afternoon.

They won!

I hadn't realized it, but G-ma & G-pa have been collecting the 50 state quarters for each of their great-grandkids for the past several years!

After dinner, we came home and made Grasshoppers (seen here) and Almond Joy ice cream drinks ... after dusting off the "Pulse-o-matic" blender that Mom & Dad got as a wedding gift in 1973.

Then it was arts and crafts time around the kitchen table. (My older sister's still striving to have her work hung on Mom's fridge.)

The good life (Saturday)

We all went to G-ma & G-pa's new apartment for lunch.

Cici Ninny has her hands full.

Saturday evening, our niece Dani had a horse "cutting" competition.

The good life (Friday afternoon/evening)

At my mom's in Nebraska last weekend, after coming in from playing in the snow.

Jack and his cousin Nathan are only three months apart in age. Here they're (supposed to be) eating sloppy joes for lunch.

Jack taking a Wii little break.
