Giving thanks

For Thanksgiving, we drove to Leslie's uncle's house in St. Louis.
The weather was nice so we were able to sit outside on their patio for a while in the afternoon.
Grandma Reva getting some pointers on playing Plants vs. Zombies.
Leslie's grandpa with two of his three granddaughters.
And Landon at Greg & Mechele's house later that weekend.

The first of many

By that I mean Landon's first-ever school picture(!) and, most likely, a leader in the making. For example, here's an email we got from his teacher last week: "At one point Ms. Nicole realized that Landon and the little girl next to him were peeling crayons, breaking them in half, and sticking them up their noses. I don’t know if Landon or the other little gal started it — that doesn’t matter. Just know that we expressed to them that it was rather gross and a good way to share yucky germs. Other children at the table were peeling and breaking crayons by this point, too ... and it snowballed from there."

We went. We heard. We bought the CD.

Just imagine — we went out on a Friday night, saw a free concert, from the second row, just minutes from our house...
featuring Liberty's own Matt Wertz...
and Jimmy Needham. It was amazing.

Jack's soccer game No. 8

Not only was it Jack's last game of the season, it was the first full day after Daylight Savings Time ended and 44 degrees out. With both my fingers and Leslie's iPhone nearly frozen, this shot is the best I could do (he's in the green jersey and black pants on the left).

Of frogs and snails and dirt bike trails

Thanks, Andy, for inviting us up to ride dirt bikes this afternoon.
Jackson did really, really well!
