I rushed home from Nebraska Friday morning, to attend a Northwest Networks business luncheon at the Kansas City Board of Trade. Three-eighths of its senior staff, including its president, graduated from Northwest Missouri State University.
I worked just on the other side of the Plaza from the Board of Trade for the past seven years, but I'd never been inside before. Founded in 1856, it's Kansas City's oldest business and the world's largest futures market for hard red winter wheat.
