An evening of S&M

Lest you think that our suburban lives suddenly got way more interesting, this S&M was our great friends Steve & Meredith. They live in the Denver area and hadn't been back to Missouri together for 2-1/2 years. So we couldn't wait to see them and reunite with our other college fraternity brothers (and their families) on a Friday night.

Steve & Meredith's twins, Lauren and Megan, were born just 15 days after Jackson. Then Taylor and now Landon have been added to the mix.

(Folks, this picture needs a caption. Suggestions?)

It was a gorgeous evening and perfect to be outside. Our neighbor cracked up at seeing the kids play in these nylon tunnels, and said it looked like a gerbil maze!

Brian & Satterlee's daughter, Quinlynn, is A-DOR-ABLE. I think her eyes take up half her face.

I hardly took any pictures at all that evening, so I definitely didn't capture the spirit of the party (with all the kids running around and playing together). I didn't even get a shot of Steve & Meredith! But I did break out the camera late in the evening, after the kids had crashed ... and after we adults had been pretty thirsty.

Shelly insisted that I take a picture of them, so I reluctantly obliged.

The Pledge ... 150 pounds later.

It's hard to tell with the flash so close-up, but these are Jack's little red Craftsman goggles from his toy tool set.
