Yesterday was Kansas City's largest one-day snowfall in 101 years. At times it was coming down at a rate of 4 inches per hour, with 2- to 3-inch snowfall rates for four consecutive hours! So when there was finally a break in the action, I headed outside to shovel the driveway ... and take a few pics, as well.

They don't always show up well in a picture, but one of my favorite things after a windy snowstorm are seeing the unique designs left behind.

One of the craziest snow formations was this mini overhang.

But the
real point of going outside in the snow? Getting to come in for hot chocolate!
